Aspen sani chips mites?

I use sani chips and havent seen any mites in them. If your worried about mites baked your cypress mulch.

You occasionally get wood mites in substrates. That's a whole different bug though and non harmful. And it's usually when people buy subs in bulk from like a garden store.

You can also pre treat your substrate with provent a mite. Just use as directed...

That Is a must IMO.

Are we overlooking that 9 times out of ten the mites you see on bedding is just WOOD MITES. And are harmless to your reptiles.

If your worried about mites from bedding, I use provent-a-mite at every bedding change. Just a quick spray down and u will be fine. I did have mites after a bedding change a little over a year ago and I bought a can and after a few treatments they were gone. I fingered instead of letting the can sit around I would use it to help prevent the problem from happening again and I have not had a single mite since. I still have the same can to and it still about half full so it will last u a while.

I was just assuming he meant actual snake mites and not wood mites. Good looking out rich :)

I used provent a mite just in case but i just wanted to know from others.
