The pet store was feedin her live medium furry mice, so thats what I got. The mouse is enjoying its life in the rubbermade cooler i have (which i will prolly never use for beers again now that i put the mouse in there lol). I even gave it a lil box to hide in :) Gotta be humane to he before i unleash the food chain on it lol.

Hey man, I hope that everything works out with your first feeding. Let us know how it went after you let her aclimate to her knew surroundings. I just got mine to start eatting f/t mice. I was able to coax him into eatting 3 f/t fuzzies (that I feed my corn snake). So, it looks proming that I will be able to feed him f/t mice in the future.

Ok I guess I'll let her chill in her tank for a couple more days then try again. She is a little more outgoing, she's outta her hide box and on the cool side of the tank right now.

Just a question... for those of u that use human heating pads... what setting do u keep them on and what kinda substrate do u use with it?

Newspaper. Medium usually, but sometimes low, depending on the individual heat pad.

I was playin around with it before i got her and on high it made teh tank very hot, so i put it on medium and its better. She seems to like it. If my room gets unexpectedly warm i'll kick it down to low till it cools down a little.

    Thanks :)
