Unfortunately, it would take me a rather long time to raise the £7000 (near enough) to get one!!!!

You can get a het male for under $500 :). It won't take longer than the rest of your life but it'll sure feel like it :P!

A lot of that is because it is an almost breeding sized female.

You could get a hatchling male for a lot less and buy a pair of hets to make your own for even less than that. :)
