I did, and I went as far as I could (farther than I've ever gone) without fear of being killed. I put a trap down, and I'm thinking of putting another. I'll try going in again. The main problem is I have all that pink fluffy stuff in the attic, so he could be anywhere, and it is so big that I can't even come close to reaching the back.

Any tips on navigating through an attic without being killed or is it pretty safe you think? I'm a dummy when it comes to attics. All I know is that I never go in them.

    Thanks everyone.

Electricity. There are so many wires back there, plus I have no idea if there are any drops or if it is meant to support my weight.

The wires are not exposed. You can't get shocked by bumping into one. Just stay on the trusses (the 2x4 or 2x6 beams that run length wise across) and you won't fall thru. The pink stuff is fiberglass insulation. Try not to get it on you. It can irritate your skin.

Walk on the beams. They're more than sturdy enough to support your weight. If you think they won't freak out too badly, get a family member to help. After all, who wants a dead snake in their attic? If your house is wired at all properly being shocked isn't an issue. Wear rubber-soled shoes and pants and you'll be fine. Use multiple flashlights, get a big floodlight. If you're going to go digging through your insulation, wear gloves and long sleeves. You don't want your skin getting irritated, it's not fun. Don a mask if you think you need to. Check warm places first, then anywhere he could be hiding. I would dig through the insulation as a last resort.

I would do ANYTHING to find this guy, so I'm going to go dive in right now, thanks for the advice. If I don't update soon, then I'm dead, ha ha.

My problem is I just can't see the beams to well, and there is also tons of air conditioning ducts.

My family would freak out to the point where they might faint. They are terrified of loose snakes, even though this baby could never hurt them. I'll have to keep going at it alone, I guess. If I hear screaming from downstairs, then I guess my family did end up finding him.

    Thanks.

P.S Where do you think a baby ball would go, after it sheds, in an attic? Also, my baby girl is just running around her enclosure without even thinking about the hide. Should I worry or just leave her be? She has had a very traumatic day.

He'll probably be somewhere warm and tight. While you're up there shuffling around looking for him, set out a hide. You might get lucky and he makes a break for it while you're not looking. Take a flashlight and just be careful. Keep your phone on you in case something happens and you need help.

Back from the attic. I now have lost any original fears of going inside the walls. I felt like I was in a tree climbing through branches looking for a needle in a haystack.

What I have learned is that there is no way I can shift through all that pink stuff. There must be like a hundred or more pounds of it. Also, he has left his original area of entry into the attic.

I left a hide and some pinkies in a trap near the entry. I smashed pinkie juice around it. I couldn't get into some parts of the attic, because it simply is filled with too many air vents, post and electrical wires.

I just hope that boy follows his stomach home... :please:

We can only hope. When did he eat last? Just keep checking the traps and the hides and he'll eventually start hunting down some food if all goes well. Keep checking and don't give up.
