I'll take the digital camera along as well, and try to get some nice shots of both shows.

OK, I've uploaded 8 pictures to a sub-gallery in my gallery, if you want to move them to a special gallery for such a purpose. I only shot pictures at the show at Scottsdale Community College, as the other show was pretty small and unimpressive. I get the idea the smaller show is staged in opposition to the Arizona Herp Society show, as the AHS show is "Captive Bred Only", whereas the other was pretty much anything goes.

    The pictures are here:

Wow! I have never seen an albino diamondback! And that Lavender Retic is just awesome! Thanks for the pics, Rick!

The Lavendar is a gorgeous snake, though his owner says he's a bit moody right now. He's feeling some breeding urges, but he's too young yet to do anything about them.

They were doing pictures with some of the snakes and a few other reptiles for a $5 donation. Someone asked about having them take the Tiger Retic out for a picture, and the owner (same guy who owned the lavendar) said they didn't have enough people in the hall who could control it if it decided to be less than cooperative.

According to a sign on the Albino Diamondback's enclosure, a wild albino specimen would not survive, as it would lack the coloring that helps them hide. The Arizona Department of Fish and Game has a nice collection of native species that they take to various shows, and it includes a good sampling of the venomous reptiles we have around here. They also had a couple of Gila Monsters on display.

Emroul was talking about getting some pictures, too.
