I wouldn't get another male. You already have one and a single male can breed numerous females. I also wouldn't recommend getting another dominate gene such as a pinstripe like others have said.

My thought process is this. Dominate gene animals should be males, unless you have at least 3 genes in them, then a single dominate gene in the mix is okay. You loose future potential by having a dominate gene female. If you bred your male pastel to a pinstripe you could get lemonblasts. Cool, but if you bought a co-dominate gene animal like a fire you could get a firefly. If you hatch out a male firefly from that pairing a few years down the road you could get him up to weight by the next year and breed him back to your fire female with the possibility of hitting a pastel black eye lucy, black eyed lucy, fires, pastels, and normals.

To me that is a much better investment. Always purchase what you like the most, if you drool over pinstripes but don't understand why people like fires get a pin. Simple as that. Other female animals in your price range are vanillas, mojaves, pastels, ghosts, there are more but I'm having a brain fart.

    Hopefully I made sense...

Last time i checked fire females were like $350-$400. I know the lowest ive seen a male for is $250 not shipped.
I could be wrong though. Maybe at an expo you could find a fire for $300 though.
