I think it will depend on your local area as well as what you produce. I fortunately have 3 local pets stores that I could sell my normals to if need be. But I'd rather give them away to someone I know is responsible. I would start friends and then local CL. Actual morphs will eventually sell even basics like pastels. The store I get feeders from also buys and sell low end morphs.

There's also local cons. They run around $150-200 for a table.

it really all depends on a lot of factors, mostly how much time you are going to put into selling these animals. in the past i have had days where nothing sold and other days i sold every one of them in a few hours. if this is a just for the fun and experience of it, then you may consider placing them with friends and family, if your going to do this for a few extra $$$ along the way then you may want to consider advertising them on different sites, rent table space at a reptile show, or wholesaling them to someone or a pet store. each option has its pro's and cons but go with your comfort level and you should be fine regardless.

When I started breeding, I was very selective (too selective) about the homes for my normals. Now I wholesale my normals to someone that I know.

I didn't have to advertise any of my morphs - they all sold as soon as I posted hatch pictures.

BUT - I took my time before I ever bred my first snakes, raising up my females, participating in forums, helping out other new people, showing off my critters (I didn't compromise on quality of my breeding stock) and so I had people interested in my babies before they hatched.

I have a spreadsheet that I keep when people contact me inquiring about animals to contact when I have the mutation that they are interested in available, to see if they still have an interest. I don't require a deposit to get on that wait list.

Thanks guys! At least getting enough to pay for their food would be nice but even if I didn't I would be fine with that , I live in San Diego and I don't see too many people selling in the area for some reason..

This has been a dream of mine for a while now so I'll be happy however it goes =D

We had zero problems selling everything we produced last season and could have sold twice as many if we had them.
Like Robin, we keep a list of what people want/ask for and contact them when the eggs hatch.

Produce quality snakes and they will sell, produce average or worse quality snakes and you find yourself trying to sell them for many months if not longer.

IMO snakes are selling very well even in this bad economy.
