    Sorry for your loss...

I'd suggest you have a necropsy done on the snake and see if it may answer any questions...especially before jumping to any conclusions as to whether the breeder should be held responsible. You don't know if it did or did not eat 3 times while in his/her possession, but it did at least eat once while in your possession. Taking that into consideration, 2 months is plenty of time for something to go wrong...and IMHO, should have never gotten to that point without assist or force feeding. It's so important to know when/how(and be able to) do this when it comes to a young non-feeder.

For a breeder I would agree. For a consumer, I'm completely in disagreeance. I'm willing to bet good money on the fact that animal was never eating good for the breeder. When I sell my animals they are feeding well. Hence, I never get a complaint on them not feeding for my customers.

I am curious to know who the breeder is also, I agree with twistedballs.

So sorry for your loss :(. I would think that since you alerted the breeder to the problem in a timely manner they should have offered you more help to get him eating again.

Personally, if a customer tells me right away they are having feeding issues I'd do all I can to help them or offer to take the snake back or replace it if possible.

x2 that was my point before. Its called good customer service. And thats how you get customers to spread a good word about you and come back to you. I know he offered the OP a good deal on a snake if she decides to buy from him again but personally id be leery of going back after what happened...

Really sorry to hear that. My roommates died about two months ago when he couldn't recover from a severe burn and that sucked, and that wasn't even my snake, so I can only imagine how it is for you.
