Some snakes wont eat while in shed, its just a case by case basis. My two will eat in shed and eventually ill find out if my new 3rd one will. Theres really nothing to be afraid of with her refusals. I know it might seem like youre neglecting her or something by her refusal to eat but thats not the case at all. If you havent already, i would invest in a kitchen scale from walmart or wherever to monitor her weight. Try having one that goes on a 10 month fast, You'd be pulling your hair out! Ball pythons are like the Ghandis of the snake world lol

... talk about problem eaters. One of my balls haven't ate in over a month and definitely is losing weight. I'm starting to get worried as she looks like a skinny baby again. Stupid thing is he ate every single time until a little over a month ago

Dont worry Jim she'll come around ;) Just be persistent about it. How much does she weight right now?

There's a few reasons she didn't eat for you. She's still acclimating to a new home, she's always been fed live, and now you're trying f/t. She's in shed.

Having only had her a week, and one missed week of feeding isn't really what I'd consider a feeding problem.

You could also check to see how the previous owner had her set up as well.

A seven month old should have some pretty good weight on her, and a few missed meals won't hurt her. :)

I should invest in a scale. I know she is 274 grams as of a week and a half ago. She looks good as far a I can tell. I don't know what a good weight is.

I have read up more on the shedding process again because I have forgotten what I read because of reading over so much info regarding the cage setup. She has spent the last few days in her hide even later at night when she was out exploring. I guess when they shed they stay hidden because they have limited visibility.

Is there a place that shows estimates of healthy weights? I going to pick up a scale this month (not rushing because I am not going to bug her very much until I get two feedings into her).

Well she shed yesterday! Full shed no problems. She also left me a present. Very happy we have a successful shed. She also seems to be at home as far as using her hides and exploring at night. I held her a bit today mainly to check her out and make sure there was no stuck shed. She looked good to me. The shed itself was all balled up in her warm hide.

Now I tried feeding her a second time tonight. I tried a F/T and she showed no interest at all. The breeder of course had her in a rack and he fed live because it was easiest for him. I know they can be picky eaters and I am anxious t get a meal into her. It has been two and half weeks since her last meal.

    Any thoughts/suggestions.
Should I just give up on F/T and buy live?
Should I try a live one tomorrow or the next day?
Should I just keep it up with F/T until she takes a meal?
    Should I wait a week?

Man this is more frustrating than I thought it would be.

they can go months without food so no need to rush, trying to feed multiple days in a row can actually stress the Bp out and make it less likely to eat. I would wait at least 4 days. You can try live just to see if that works. Pre-killed in another option (fresh-killed) I would't entirely give up on F/T yet you might have to feed her live for awhile then you can try to switch her to F/T later on.

Yes they can be very frustrating at times... it's a game they like to play with us.
