LOL on the computer, i have a separate folder for each snake, and one master notepad, or word doc with all their information on it as i go along, from what the breeder/seller provided then all information i add to it. if i sell the animal i print a copy of it, and send it along, and i keep my copy in case something is asked after the sale. nothing fancy, but effective, we may switch to printed cards but not sure yet.

This might be a good excuse for me to get one :D

I'm also curious about this. I track all my feedings in iHerp, but there's not a specific section to record weights. I sit in my snake room on feeding day and mark everything on dry-erase board, then enter into my iPad at the end. It's just kind of a PITA using iHerp on the iPad sometimes...

Just browse to iHerp's website on your iPad...

Tracking > Add New Tracking > Under the Action section, change it from 'Feeding' to 'Weight' then I enter the weight under the Title section.

I use iHerp and have created a custom database in Filemaker Pro advanced (is a nerd)

My sister did a similar chart that ralph davis created. It has "Date in" for when I purchased the snake from, the card number, the genetics (killerbee - super pastel x spider), and sex.

Below all the general details, there's a thin column for "Date", then a longer one titled "Action". I managed to fit 3 of the "Date | Action" columns on 1 piece of paper. I just write in "In shed", "Shed!!", "Ate 1 f/t rat fuzzy", "Weight: 311 gms". It seems to work out fine =]. been using it for a month and a half now :gj:. I'll post a picture later :).

Ah, that makes sense. I couldn't find a section for weight when I first started using iHerp, so I just didn't track it there. I just track approximate weights on paper whenever I decide to weigh. I know, seriously scientific approach...

My biggest annoyance using iHerp on the iPad is if I'm entering a feeding after the day it happened. That pop-up calendar on the date selection field is so small, I sometimes hit the wrong date... Oh well, nitpicking now...

Once you click the little calendar icon to change the date and the calendar pops open, you can pinch-zoom into the calendar so its easier to hit the right date then pinch-zoom back out to enter other info.

I use numbers on my iPhone and MacBook. It's a pretty basic spreadsheet but does the job and I can print it and export it into other formats.

I used a homework app called Note Taker HD. I spent some time making the templates so I can create a new folder for a new snake. I use it to take notes on any of my pythons or snakes I may have
