Lol. 2 stories. I had my adult male out and my buddy was holding him. We got into a discussion about if batman is a super hero (he is btw) and when we looked down, the snake ha gone into his printer where the paper comes out. We had to do a bit if disassembly to get him but he was fine.
Ok. Number 2. When I was weighing my baby boa a while ago she did the funniest thing u have ever seen. When I pick her up her tail finds something to wrap around and she anchors herself there. On this occasion when I put her in the bowl to weigh her, her tail wrapped around her own snout. She tried pulling her face out but since she was mad/scared that something had her face she squeezed with her tail more. Is was such a vicious circle. I was giggling my but off whilst I was freeing her from herself. It was awesome.

I never had any other furniture than the basics until recently, our local reptile store was selling two resin skulls: A Sabretooth and a Triceratops :) My friend got one and I got the sabretooth, the gaps in it are all huge, but she doesn't really bat an eyelid (LOL) at it. But I know my friends ball python striker got his rear end stuck in the triceratops the other day! Got himself out alright though :)

No more fancy hides for me!
My hatchling, Erebus, was just freed from a large rock hide. She decided to try and squeeze through the same hole three times...her tail, her middle and then her head for good measure. It's safe to say, a shattered hide and a freshly cleaned snake later, there will be no more fancy hides of any sort. She's been down-graded to a normal half hide. Hope she learned from her lesson, I know I sure did. :stupidme:

There's so much extra cord on the thermohygrometer probe that I'd looped it up and tied it off to keep it contained. Miqula managed to wiggle a loop loose and get her head through - that was easy to get her out of, but she was convinced I was trying to kill her the whole time.

I looked back and he was about a third of the way in the hole!!!:O I grabbed him and held on while he kept trying to go in more. I started sweating and yelled for a hammer wrench and bucket! Not even knowing what I was going to do with them. After those and some more tools arrived I realized I would have to break the sink if he got any further in. More sweating and some French. I then decided to splash some cold water on him. I guess that was enough for him because he backed out and looked at me like he wanted to bite me.
Now I'm scared of my sink. XD

I took my ball python into the living room, to let him roam about, I looked away for a split second, and he had managed to get himself jammed up the radiator... Luckily, the radiator wasn't on, but he kept trying to move himself up even more, so I sprayed water at him from above, trying to deter him. That didn't work, so I got a rat, and he immediately came down. xD

Re: Stuck Snake
One time, my ball python almost got stuck down inside my rocker/recliner. I was checking the guide on the TV and not paying enough attention when I looked down, the first half of her body was down past the seat cushion. I had to get my wife to push down on the cushion as I moved my hand up to the snake's head to gently ease her out. The first time that I yelled "Help, I need help with my snake (how helpless can I be?)!". Two or three weeks ago, this same ball found a way to get stuck in the handle of a mug. Again I wasn't watching too closely as I didn't think that there was anything to fear and she wriggles across the counter, through the handle, going for a bit more of an explore but her midsection was a bit too big. My wife was wondering what all the "Oh :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:" was about and thought it was quite funny. I got the ball back out but she was sure that she could get through - silly snake!

Nah, I'd say it's a prime example of why you shouldn't use any hides with a closed hole entrance. Lots of those fancy resin hides and decor are a problem waiting to happen. However, there's plenty of decor options you can use to safely improve the environment once you know what to avoid.

I've got two of the small ZooMed ReptiShelter 3 in 1 caves, which have a closed hole entrance... but I use them for my Kingsnakes. They love them, and they're perfect for adding a bit of damp moss to now and then. No way would I put one of those in the BP tubs!
