    let me reword that 95 degrees air temp inside his hide , surface temp of actual substrate in there much cooler around 90 degrees ( not using belly heat ) ....would that be better...not being sacastic ...i am a first time parent ...lol .....i do appreciate experienced input

    I would drop the air temperature so it is 92 degrees and the surface temps are in the high 80's. This can be done with a thermostat or light dimmer.

    Thanks for all the feedback on this. I've got some good ideas. Think I'll definitely get the RHP from Reptile Basiscs, seen nothing but positive remarks regarding them in many threads on here. Will also do some flexwatt or something similar for belly heat.

    Will post pictures when I get this done.
