Its funny you say that Clark they are from a line which is chucking out some mental clowns at the minute they look like genetic stripe clowns with a twist lol. Literally at the start of the week he looked normal and yesterday he looked like this lol the female did exactly the same too but not as dramatic we honestly thought she was just glowing.

Color in ball python scales seems to be very much a surface thing...any scrape of the scales or interference with the skin's normal growth can remove the color. It's the last thing to develop in hatchlings, too.

I do hope they get their colour back :) crazy thing these balls.

If they have been breeding this could be the results of a "Glow". I was just watching a video the other night about the "glows" that occur during breeding and that male and female can act the same. The "Glow" does effect the pigmentation and is known to grey, and wash some color out.

    just a thought.

They look amazing as is...good luck with them.

Thanks :D I have spoke to a friend about the 'glow' and only found out yesterday that males can glow too it could be what's happening after all we do know the clown gene does crazy things with balls. I have yet to see a lock from the male though but everything is looking promising :)

Seems like the female is going back to normal but the male seems to be getting odder.
