It honestly depends on you and what works best for your particular animal. Three of my snakes eat in separate tubs, and once in those tubs, immediately recognize it's feeding time.
However, I can't get close to my BCI on feeding day and have no desire to try to move her when she's large, so she eats in her home. Lol. Only problem I'm having there is that around feeding day, she waits on her climbing branch, which is rather inconveniently roughly at the height of the the tank lid. So when I open it, there she is! When I need to take her out of her tank, I touch her head softly with the snake hook and she calms down. Hook training is always a good option for larger snakes. :)
