    When does one start on rats? Felix gulped an adult mouse last week & I went right out & bought another smaller before he finished, but he refused to even kill it.
    My friend at the store says to throw in a rat here & there as a snack, but not so sure when to do that. I don't want him to lsoe the nutrients/calcium that adult mice give if he's going to rat pups...

    You can start on rats anytime. All of my balls have been on rats since they were born. Rats and mice have around the same nutrient count so you won't be losing anything. Rats have a higher fat content. Rats will benefit you in the future when adult mice become too small for when your ball grows larger.

    Thank you SO much! All I've been hearing is that rats are a great "treat" sometimes, etc...so it's a relief to know they're still nutritious for him!
    I'll be starting him on rats this coming week! :)
