Female very aggressive after forst lock up

Thanks for the advice I will try the feeding thing.

I had one of my female pastels bite my lesser male as I was putting him in, right on the head/face. I felt bad for the dude, as he was just trying to get some loving. So I took him out and fed her. I always make sure my girls aren't hungry when introducing males, just in case :)

She's telling you FEED ME!!!

lol, all of my females do this in Sept/Oct/Nov and I respond by feeding them every 3-4 days during those months.
Females will eat up heavily before breeding and even during breeding before they slow down to eventually stop eating before ovulation :gj:

I do remember people talking about hungry females attacking males accidentally when they were introduced to their bin--one person had to rescue their poor male after the female actually wrapped him, lol. Since reading about that, i'm always cautious when putting the males in, but I have never had a female even look like she was going to go after a male, once she had a chance to smell him.

So I just paired my Mojave female with my male woma banana fire male who is about 800 grams last night and when I put him in she immediately but him and wrapped him up. I poked her on the head and she let go right away but definitely bit nanners right one the face enough to draw blood. I just fed her to medium rats like threes days apart and she is still ravenous. So I think it just had to do with a super strong food response due to follicle development. I'm gunna pack her full of another rat on Sunday and see if she clams down. She is also super food responsive in her tub and if I put my hand in there she will bite and wrap but as soon as she is out of the tub she is right back to my puppy tame snake.

What are you feeding her and whats her weight?
