Best way to make your own moist hide

unless your humidity is extremely low (less than 30%) I would only put a humid hide inside the tank during shed. if your snake decides to lay in a humid hide 24/7 you will likely have issues with scale rot.

If you are just plain having humidity issues, (it should be 40-60), then Eco earth, and a larger water dish can be used. I would only use a humid hide when in shed. When humidity needs to be 70. You can place damp, not sopping spaghum moss in the hide. This helps humidity, also gives them something to rub against.

I just used a Thai food takeout bowl with a hole cut in the size :)

I lined the bottom with 6-8 layers of small paper towel squares and just re-dampen it every day or two, and replace them 2-3 times a week. My humidity in the tank always drops to around 52%, so he cycles into the humid hide when he wants to, but I keep a very close eye on his belly.

I have a humid hide and a dry hide. My ball uses both very frequently. They won't always chose the humid one.
