If your female does turn out to be pregnant and you hatch out a piebald their sell-ability will skyrocket. As things are, I doubt you'd be able to get much more than you would for normal BPs of the same size unless you can prove your two are from a reputable dealer.
As for kids and animal germs, my folks raised 6 kids with snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, salamanders, spiders, dogs, cats, chinchilas, gerbils, rats, birds, squirrels, fish and whatever else fell into their animal lovin laps. We all turned out just fine and their love for all things living was successfully passed on.

Those frozen rodents are whole and have not been cut up and handled by dirty hands that have come in contact with hundreds of pounds of other bloody raw meat in a work day.. Such as all the other meat you eat has. Beef, pork, chicken, lunch meat... Which is where most of the food born illnesses originate from anyway..
In my opinion, those frozen rats are safer than anything else in your freezer or fridge combined.
And yes it's true, children raised in a home obsessed with disinfecting every little thing with wipes, bleach, etc, are far more prone to becoming sick. They also develop allergies later in life to whatever they did not regularly come in contact with as a child. Such as furry pets, milk, etc..
My Dr tried telling me my son was lactose intolerant as a baby because he'd spit up the formula a lot and they wanted to put him on soy. I knew this was false and putting him on soy would mess up hormone development and also make him lactose intolerant later on. I had them put him on the nestle good start with digestible proteins and the problem stopped. I was right. He now drinks whole milk every day with no problems and always has.
Children have to be exposed to these things. Germs to strengthen their immune systems. Milk to prevent lactose intolerance. Fur and dander to help prevent allergies.
The USA is the only country obsessed with cleanliness and disinfection. It is also the country with the most sickness and highest number of cases of allergies in the world.

Kids have been raised for a long time. Yours will be just fine. When my 13 year old came home from the hospital he was in the back seat and i had to stop off on the way and pick up a rodent order lol. He turned out just fine. My 8 year old is fine and my 7 month old is doing great. All living under the same roof as a couple hundred animals depending on time of year
