-maybe so, but don't let that stop you. If it is something you'd love to do, then do it! It isn't worth settling for a sucky job. It's what you'll be doing for your lifetime.

yeah my science teacher said ihave to go to college, then grad school, med school and then veteranary school(if i remember correctly) but that doesn't matter. i gotta atleast try. oh yeah and my report card wasn't as bad as i thought it would be(still sucked but) i'm not going to tell you the statistics just tell you that i won't be repeating this grade lol. Me and my friend have been put in a program where half of our classes give at home homework and the other half of our classes homework is done during the week in advisory making things alot better but next year we will be taken out of this program so this is basically just a boost or something like that. So things are pretty cool at the moment(even though my mom took away my cell phone and ipod) and i should have a better report on mya the 13th(2nd report card) thank you guys for all the help.

From what I recall, and this is how I think it works (and I was an outsider looking in on the vet school thing). You go to college and then vet school. You declare yourself pre-vet, pick your major (biology, and chem are the most common), get really good grades, and then go to vet school.
Somtimes I really wish I'd looked into more of the medical professions, beyond doctor. And I did think about vet for a little while, but I wasn't gungho on the idea. I wasn't really that interested in treating cats and dogs..and I wasn't keenly interested on large animals, which my parents wanted me to do (dave and mom are biased, they own a horse ranch :P ).
I don't know what the route is to go vet tech, but some other people on the board have a lot more insight into that.
