    Something to also consider is electric heat is roughly half the cost of natural gas which is roughly half the cost of oil. I like to think the electric supplemental heating at the very least eats an equal portion cost out of my heating bill during winter.

    Of course, this is probably balanced out by a slightly higher AC bill in the summer...
