    Iv had both warm and cool ones, I prefer the warm steam ones.

    I too have tried both and both need to be cleaned regularly the cool mist ones get slimy and the warm mist one builds calcium and such from the minerals in the water. I prefer the warm mist as I found the cool mist one I had would kick on and drop the temps then kick off and lift the temps the warm mist doesn't seem to make any change in temps at all.

    Sorry my mistake, the one I have is a Honeywell Quicksteam, not Sunbeam. Anyway it's a good unit.
