Then again is all those people in IL weren't living off MY TAXES we wouldn't need this... :\

What we need in IL is a bill on Food Stamps..... I'm one of FOUR...Four people at my work that DON'T get food stamps. I only get 20-25 hours a week as well,.... I'd go further in to this BS....BUT our more important fight in this "permit system"

So you don't want any help then? Piss off people whom are trying help?

So you don't think that using grade 6 science to undermine the proposal holds no value? Find different way, maybe you can alienate some more people that might be a big help.

Not time to bicker with each other.
I don't think you were offended purposely.

Thanks for throwing my words around. I didn't say it was that way to me. -_- my point is with nearly every bill we don't find a way to beat it, we only.slowly loose our rights. So rather then fight for no reason I will just say sorry You Mis understood me

No it is certainly not time to bicker.

Perhaps you didn't understand my point I am unsure to the US legal system but a act turned law that is incorrect in its writing must be repealed and re written. This lends power to the parties opposing the act.

I would love to help more but this is the extent of what I can do as a Canadian.

Hey, folks--just because they weaseled around on the Lacey Act issue doesn't mean you can't beat a bill like this one.

We beat a bill here in Nebraska that would have required exotics owners that kept green iguanas (and lots of other animals) to buy huge insurance policies and post signs on their property that said 'dangerous wild animal on premises'.

You know what you have to do, to beat it? WRITE AN ACTUAL LETTER. Make a phone call. Most important, find out when the hearing is, take that day off of work, and SHOW UP. The folks you will be talking to may actually be reasonable, and they do want to hear from you. You have to be there, because you know that HSUS will be there. The more numbers you can be physically present with, the better your chances.
Prepare a statement, make enough copies for all of them, and when they ask if you're going to be speaking, you say yes--you get up there in front of them, and you read your statement.
