Awww poor babies!! That makes me so MAD :rage: It's because of idiots like THAT that don't give a crap about the animals they keep why all these frickin' bans are happening! UGH....

Anyways, good luck with them, they have some serious potential. They will be beautiful even with scars, and I'm so relieved you saved them from that hellhole. :gj: I wish them a speedy recovery :please:

Thanks guys. I too am amazed they made it this far. And they are both so loving and just enjoy being handled. I have been checking on them every few hours and using neosporin on the wounds to try and have them heal up nice. I will continue to update this thread as they get back to being healthy. Hopefully next breeding season I will be able to use this gorgeous male to breed with my columbian. Until then it is just TLC and constant watching.

Thank you for taking in those poor babies. It breaks my heart to see any animal in such a state of neglect. What is wrong with people?

I look forward to seeing updates on these guys.

Good news. Bet appointment scheduled. We're taking both in for a once over. According to the vet the tip of the males tail is going to be amputated. Well see how that goes. I can't wait to get him on some meds and eating.

So after about a 300 dollar vet visit we have good and bad news. The female is healthy just has a bad case of mites. Which I figured. The male is much worse. Top of jaw is broken, tip of his tail is infected and going to fall off on its on. Respiratory infection and he has mites. We have to inject him with needles and two meds down his throat and soak him in the tub 30 min a day in bedadine to get ridnofnmites same for the female. The vet seems to think hell be ok and hope to get him to eat by Saturday. Going to try a few different food items. Good thing I have these two on strict qt. but all is looking up for the little guy. I'll keep you guys updated.

He rubbed his face down to the bone. I think the guy abused him. It scares me but she said it is definitely broken. And because their jaws are so loose she said we just have to let it I and give him some pain meds. God I hope he eats this Saturday.
