Word to the wise Since your using substratless method, your substrate is too dry from the pics. In a weeks time they will dry out a bit. You want the medium soaked since eggs arent touchign it.

I had to dump out a little water because the eggs were so heavy they started sinking. I did fix it shortly after the pic adding more water very carefully :D

Your light diffuser and the cross stitch canvas should fit end to end inside the egg tub. It shouldn't sink at all when using the cross stitch canvas under the light diffuser grate. Maybe that's why?
This is the method I use and recommend!

It was really wet, I think it just had a little too much water for the weight of these monster eggs. I am going to try your suggestion on my next clutch tho and cut it to fit exactly :gj: Thanks for the tip :w00t:
