Still looks like a nice super pastel, if you paid a fair price then the het hypo is just a bonus if it is het that is.

I'm 2 for 2 picking possible het hypos that proved to be het. I had read that some het hypos also shed clear so when I picked my het male up it happened to be cleaning day so the breeder checked and sure enough some of his hets shed clear. My het male was nice and bright but didn't happen to shed clear. However, when I bred him to a normal half his babies where noticeably brighter like him. I kept the only bright female 50% het and she proved. Next I picked a nice light colored (for his morph) faded head cinnamon 50% het hypo male that also proved. This year I'm breeding a very nice clean/bright/faded pastel male that is 50% chance het hypo and I like my chances of going 3 for 3.

So, I consider hypo to be one of the recessive morphs with co-dominant tendencies like piebald. Assuming your super pastel is a possible het hypo if he looks better than other super pastels and isn't much more I'd say go for it and see if you can prove him. Sure a super pastel 100% het hypo would be better but if you don't have the cash for that use the brightest possible het hypo you can find.

I'm only interested in dom /co dom genes at the moment. But I'm thinking of selling him.

I will say sometimes het hypo does tend to show through, nothing consistently though.
faded head spot is hit or miss I have some with and some without, blushing and fading I never really thought of that as anything and clear sheds...none of mine shed clear, guess others do.

biggest difference I noticed is color, nothing I can pin point, just hets tend to be nicer looking than non hets.
