the reason im asking is i have a asf breeder close by, i have a small colony of mice, and i was thinking about moving to rats or asf, but i have 4 corns and 4 balls. the balls were mice feeders from the breeder but im looking at getting 6 more balls. So im completely lost here... i just want the best for my snakes and the cheapest way to do it... asking a lot i know

    It's definitely personal preference.
I like rats. They're easy to get and I don't have to feed multiple feeders to an adult bp.
ASFs are illegal in my state, so they're not even an option (although I do know a local reptile store who does breed them.... they charge $25 for 1 rat though...)

Mice are way to nasty for me to feed. They have a strong odor and I personally don't like keeping them in my house. Also, it would be a pain to feed multiple mice to an adult bp.

Edit: if you plan on getting more balls, I would look into breeding rats.

As has been stated already, there isn't much difference nutricionally speaking between the 3. This is why I buy rats. They are cheaper and super easy to get ahold of.

I like rats. ASFs are often hard to find and cost more. Mice are a bit less nutritious and smell REALLY bad.
