    Soaking could take care of the shedding issue. Just soak him daily for an hour or two. And be sure not to get any pam anywhere near the water. The pam is water soluble and will kill your snake if any gets in the water, which is why the pam always needs to dry on substrate (and the water bowl is removed) before putting the snake back in the tank.

    After there is no longer a smell of the PAM and it (the PAM) has completely dried. The water bowl and any other hides, etc. should be soaked to kill any mites, then dried, and put back in.
