Transporting while in shed

Well, California does get snow, but I don't think it snowed this Winter yet?? It's usually only occurs in the Northern part of the State.

Yeah, I live about as far north as you can get WITHOUT getting snow. Just below the line. We just have nasty, cold wet winters.

And you guys want to hear my day and how this move went? It's a doozy.
Woke up and my snake was nosing the glass, first time she was out of her humid hide in 2 weeks, so immediately I knew she had finally shed over the night and was at the glass looking for her next meal after all that hard work. She has also taken a gigantic crap, so all of her pipes were empty, perfect for a move. My plan was to get her back up hear and feed her, no trouble.

Well I get to my apartment and get this.... HALF of my lights don't work and half of the outlets are dead. Seriously? So one circuit is down, and conveniently it is the one I plug my UTHs into AND the one with my television. It is NOT the one with my internet is plugged into, thankfully, or I would loose my mind.

So I had to set my tank up in my BEDROOM were I found a working plug, there is also no rhyme or reason to the ones that are working. My fridge works, but not my kitchen light. The plug next to my bed works, but not by bedroom light. The bathroom light works, but not the bathroom plugs.... ?!?!???!??!!:rage:

My landlord is not in the office on weekends, so I left a message and I am sure they will get to within the next month. :mad:

I guess I should count my blessings and be grateful I do have HALF of my power or my poor little snake would be living in 15qt tub with a 40 hour heat pack for the weekend. Now I'm going to try and run an extension cord from the television to a working outlet.....

Im jk lol, but that does really suck. You shouldnt have to pay as much for utilities though until your problem gets fixed.

haha! I was very pleasantly surprised that I got a call back informing me that my fuse box is in my closet. The closet light happened to be one that was out AND the batteries in my flashlight died as soon as I turned it on, so I had to grope through the dark with my cell phone as a light. I peered through my pants, and low and behold, there was a fusebox in the most impractical location and height imaginable. Crisis averted. It was indeed a "sucks to be you" kind of day. :P I bought myself a cheeseburger and Mountain Dew and felt sorry for myself. hahaha.

Talk about "first world" problems. "Only HALF of my electricity worked for a few hours!! I hate my life!"
