Please enlighten me as to how a petition works in regards to an USFWS amendment to the Lacey Act.:confused:
Since it has now been amended, my understanding is that you had to challenge - in a federal lawsuit - the validity of the data that led to the justification of the amendment in order to overturn it. That is your SOLE remedy.
A federal law suit challenging the amendment is what will overturn this - not a petition. That and letting your local representative to the senate and house know that you will not give your votes to any candidates that support reptile specific amendments to the Act.
This is key because the USFWS has already stated that they will continue to consider listing as injurious retics, boas and green anacondas.
