    I too house rats and snakes together in the same room. I didn't notice any behavior change of either group of animals. Snakes are still in their hides and the rats are still running on their wheels or grooming peacefully. My snakes only get excited if the rat is in their tub.

    I picked up my 18 breeder rats (4 Dumbos, 5 Hooded, 9 PEW) last night and when I first brought them in the room it defiantly got everyone's attention but they (the snakes) all retreated to their hides/normal behavior by the time I had the rats divided up into their new tubs.

    I am going to admit I think I'm going to be as addicted to breeding the rats as I am with keeping/breeding snakes. Now I just to find a place that I can buy different types of rats :D
