I have to agree with everyone else here. I commend you for trying to give this little one a fighting chance but if after 2 years it still can't eat on its own, it most likely never will. A snake that can't eat on its own just doesn't have the ability to live a normal life and wouldn't have survived at all in the wild. I know it's gotta be a really tough decision after all the time and effort, but take comfort in knowing you did absolutely everything you could to give him/her a shot...

I agree with the other posters. You've gone above and beyond in your attempts to help her(2 years!! Wow!!) but at this point, it's doubtful that she will ever eat on her own.

I also agree, that's not what I've considered duck billing(the widening of the nose side to side is what I've seen as duck billing). That would be considered underdeveloped lower jaw and would make it extremely hard for the poor girl to eat.

I would reccomend euthanasia as well, although I totally understand it's so difficult to make that sort of decision when you've invested two years of attempting to help her.

I'm sorry I thought this was refered as duck billed. Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. I will be euthanizing her, I just got to muster up the guts to do it :(.

My heart goes out to you dear.

I know this is going to be one of the hardest things you've ever done, and after investing so much time and effort in to her, to have to make the decision now.....

If you need a shoulder to cry on once it is over, feel free to get mine all soggy. :tears:
