They can, and people do it, I personally don't like paypal because of that reason. I think debit cards are safer, BUT I've only used paypal twice and I worry that the next would a bad case.

To the OP, either way will work, just be careful who you deal with

Paypal is the most convenient, and most reasonably priced for hobby breeders and very small businesses that don't get enough credit card transactions to justify accepting CCs directly. You pay for their service, but it's worth it.

As for charge backs--keep track of your stuff. I sell through Ebay, and had a customer try to pull that once--showing that I printed the shipping label, AND not even enough time had passed for them to have received it yet, solved the issue--I won.

If you can prove you shipped a package to the customer, paypal will most likely come down on your side.

I have had 0 problems with paypal. That's not to say that no one has, but in 5 years, I've personally had no issues.

Documentation is the only way to be safe--credit card payments can ALSO be disputed, so they aren't really any better than paypal. There are trade-offs with any method. If you refuse anything other than cash, you won't make many sales, lol.

That's a good point. Why does it have to be so difficult!
