    you want an inexpensive way to do tubs then use a bookshelf and nail the shelves so the tubs barely slide in between them, that way you don't need clips or anything to hold the lid down.
    A cheap melamine bookshelf, flexwatt heat pads(11x12 for large tubs), a thermostat, tubs, water bowl.
    Can't get much simpler than that...
