If you are planning to use an Aquarium you could either use the post above or I made a cover for the screen out of Plexi and covered it with foil tape like this I also cover 3 sides with cardboard with foil tape facing in behind my background this really helps to stabalize the temps and humidity in you tank:) here is a pick of the cardboard and foil tape. I also use Eco Earth Cocohusk for substrate hold humidity much better but you need to stir it up once a week to prevent mold or bacteria build up. And make sure all tape is outside the enclosure never put tape inside an enclosure with your snake. And I agree wiht LGray get a good t-stat for your UTH it is a must

Awesome how to on the cage lid. I intended to cover the lid 3/4 of the way with something but I hadn't decided on it yet. I have book marked your link for a definite idea when I have time possibly over the winter holidays.

OK now back on the thermostat/ thermometer thing

Would this work? I believe it is one of the ones you mentioned that required wiring.

Are there any recommended thermometers and hygrometers? Although 20$ seems like a great deal replacing it every few months does not.

The thing is I am trying to get everything ordered to be here before Christmas as I believe my Girlfriend is in contact with a breeder already about getting me this snake and we will be going to pick it up while we are both off work for the holidays.
