Most disturbing pet store visit to date

That's horrible. And I thought Petsmart/Petco was bad. They need to be shut down. Also they can get up to five years in federal prison for animal cruelty. (Maybe just jail, not sure but I heard federal prison.)

Contact your state's Dept. of Agriculture. They can investigate these things. Or if it's serious enough, which it sounds like it is, call the police with an animal cruelty complaint. They'll have to respond... Typically they will bring along animal control, who will determine whether the animals are being mistreated. If they are, then the police can arrest the owners.
