I don't have foil tape, so will ducttape be fine enough?
I'm just going to have to take off everything and retape/stick things

I assume the sticky side of the heat pad is touching the bin?

Foil tape is pretty cheap and is the best for this situation because it allows for even heat transfer. I'd imagine a chunky piece of duct tape may block the heat from going through completely evenly.

As for the sticky side of the heat pad, hopefully you havent peeled the paper from the sticky side yet. Because as long as you have it plugged into a thermostat, the temps will never go to the point of burning paper. I believe paper burns at something like 400 degrees. If you have already stuck the sticky side onto the bottom of the tub, do not worry! Here's a thread on how to safely remove it. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...o-Remove-a-UTH!

Once you have removed it, cover the sticky side with neat rows of foil tape.. and ta-da you now have a fully moveable UTH!

Zoomed brand UTH works great for me, so it should be good for you too.

Sorry here is the URL again for how to remove a uth from the bottom:

DX Uh... well as far as that thread goes, it's not really needed for me... my tub is plastic and stuff, and the heat pad came right off since it wasn't well stuck to begin with... I'll still cover it with foil tape though

Alright, so hopefully that fixed that. I'll plug it in and see how it works. :3
