Everyone has very beautiful pythons in their avatar and collections. Seeing this is my first snake i would like to get more in the future. Ill get mine up soon :)

Where can i find a simple thermostat? My price range would be around $50 max. This is my first set up so nothing crazy. Thanks

    Ah, you're pretty close by!

    Hello, and :welcome: to BP.net.
In addition to the thermostat, my recommendation would be to reduce the thickness of yur substrate layer down to about 1 inch or so, really thick layers tend to trap the heat under them and it will build up along the glass, causing high temps.

I picked up my thermostat today at petco. Zilla thermostat. Not sure how good it will be but just for the meantime till i look into a better one.

I removed the hide and found what looked like a soaked spot under the hide. The hide itself was wet. Before i placed the probe on top of the UTH i felt the glass and it was really HOT! So i set my thermostat at 92. Is that correct?

My problem now is i cant close the lid complete because the probe wire is in the way. Do i have to make a cut out for the wire?

Let me know if im doing anything wrong. Thanks again for all the comments, help and suggestions.
