I need to rebuild the snake's confidence and desire to eat and although I'm loathe to do it, now, considering what the OP wrote, I'm going to have to do something just like that.

    :(

Just feed him more than one! It's not rocket science come on use your brain people.

    ^ I agree ^

I feed a rat pup to an appropriate size bp and had trouble constricting it and the pup suffered a lot. Against my better judgement, after about 30 mins of torture I separated them and feed it off to a 1800 gram bp who had no problem.

I also seen one consumed live so Im going to go with the typical line...it happens in the wild

I've fed tons of rat pups to adults. It just takes more pups to feed them, or more often feeds. My snakes haven't ever had an issue constricting rat pups or weanlings or mice.

And as far as "that's all he could get so he shouldn't have gotten a BP" idea... maybe he's been feeding regular sized rats and just now there was a shortage in his area. Perhaps to you, it's better to starve the snake than to give it a smaller than usual meal.

You said it had "good girth" so it's not starved. In my area, no less than 4 rat breeders shut down operations because they were losing money because so many pet stores have gone under. So finding appropriate sized rats(or any rats at all) was a trial for a while. When I found smaller rats, I just got more of them.

But then, perhaps you'll flame me now, since I'm obviously not feeding my snakes correctly and don't know what I'm doing either? Perhaps I should give away my collection, because for a short time I had to scramble to find rodents?

    Hmmmmm.

Maybe just maybe you were completely out of line....I believe you were.

    Does she look malnourished?

 Nah, don't think I look silly at all. But, then again I really don't mind what people may think. As far as being COMPLETELY out of line.... Wrong!! BTW, I can't view your pics...

Perhaps you were out of line by jumping the gun on me. There is no need to take jabs at me like that. There are ways to speak your mind without being rude. (like I did on youtube) Were you rude.... I believe you were! (PLAY NICE)

You have no business telling people what size food to feed their snakes, completely out of line.
As mentioned in the wild do you think they'd pass up that meal? hell no

OK??? Why would I flame you? you are speaking your mind. And guess what.. now that I read what you had to say I agree that it makes sense. Guess I wasn't thinking. I guess that's why I posted this on here to get some feedback. Isn't that what a forum is for? I just thought it looked cruel at the time.

I don't know you and you don't know me, so don't take this personally or the wrong way. I see you just joined this site within the past month, so I will ASSume here that you are fairly new to keeping bps. Just as you don't know me and I don't know you, you also don't know this person on youtube who posted a feeding video, nor do you know the circumstances behind the snake. You just watched a video, you felt the prey item was too small and chose to flame the poster rather than consider that there could be other factors you haven't thought about. What if this snake won't take anything larger than a rat pup? You even said that this was an adult snake with some girth, so it apparently isn't malnourished or being neglected... What makes you a bp expert with the knowledge, experience and apparently psychic ability, qualified to flame random strangers on the internet without any background information?

You'll find that in life, your attitude and the way you conduct yourself when you approach a situation like that is just as important (if not more so) than the information you're trying to communicate or educate. I'm sure that in the opinion of the youtube video guy, you're just some jerk on the internet with a bad attitude when this could have potentially been an educational experience for him had the information been presented differently.

    Just something to chew on...
