I also feed in the enclosure and I have never moved any of the cage stuff around just feed. Snakes have super senses of smell unless you smell like a rodent they will not mistake you for one.

I feed in tank/tub, it's easier on me and the snakes.

None have any "cage aggression", but if you're worried about that, a snake hook goes a long way for handling.

X4 but, I've also been using newspaper lately. (Small mite infestation caused by a local pet store...) when we used reptibark I never fed in the tank though, just to be safe. I did learn the horror of feeding outside the tank last week.... our Burmese was taken to the living room to eat, you know regular protocol, well he saw our rot, an our cat and freaked out. And having the smell of rat on me, our Burmese calmee down, when I looked away he struck me and latched on coiling around my arm.. a little note to this.. I'm a chef, I've cut myself with very sharp kvives before, I've even cut the top of my thumb off with a bread knife, and I'll say... nothing hurts more then a snake biting and actually holding on. Remember do what works for you, as Well as your snake. And also to add a side note, in my personal experience, (I've only got five years and I'm still learning more every day) feeding inside the cage doesn't promote aggression or them thinking your food, sinfe our Burmese bit me I've had no trouble with him, besides his famous hiss Because he's still getting uses to being held. Good luck! And do What works for you!

Sorry for the Burmese story In the BP forums.. LOL. I've just never had a ball do anything more then nip me, which really doesn't hurt.
