I voted corns, though it was a tie between them and kings.

I have two corns (one I just picked up, the other I've had for 9 months) and they are fabulous eaters. My older corn has literally skipped a feeding one time, and that's when he was in shed. I love all the morphs available too. Plus, I don't have a preference for them in terms of keeping them: they do great in both a tank and a tub.

Kings: I have a Cali right now, and he has been a great feeder for me too up until about a month and a half ago when he went off feed for the season. But they are still usually great feeders and do well in both a tank or a tub. The musking isn't even that bad either, plus I love king's little "mad" faces, they always look grumpy. :P

For both though: I hope your mom doesn't mind FAST snakes over the beefy "lazy" ones because whew, corns and kings can fly when they want and sometimes their speed can be a little intimidating for those who are a little hesitant around snakes (which I'm only ASSuming your mom is if she didn't like the balls because of their girth).

Re: New project. Not sure which way I want to go....
i said texas rats. they get a good size, and are really active so they make great display animals. they do have a bit of attitude to them so you need tobe prepred for that.

So it looks like an almost three way tie between KSB, Corns, and Hogs which havent even been talked about yet. Lol. I'll let the poll go till Turkey day then I will see where we are at and make my decision then. Until then keep the votes coming. :)

So after looking around on fauna and other sites I have it narrowed down to three species.

    #1) Western Hogs
#2) Cali Kings or any kings
    #3) Kenyan Sand Boas

really, really, really, liking the cali kings.

Not on your list, but look into Black Milksnakes if you haven't already... the perfect colubrid IMHO.

I vote hognose. If your mom doesn't want you having large snakes, they are a great choice. Here is my anery male.

I voted for hogs, but corns would be a good choice too. Everyone I know who has bred corns says it's pretty lucrative.

    Hoggies.

I've kept colubrids, and they're the only one now that I'm in any way interested in. I love my normal big girl, would love to have a morph her size.
