Try marking 200, 2000 word essays, and the day after they were due have the stream of students wanting their marks.

Well then those students are just *idiots* (for lack of better terms). They should know that it takes a while to mark papers.

I would much rather mark (which I have done many times before) than pump out all of these assignments. There's a limit, and my profs have crossed it.

I have given up on my readings, as well. :(

I just hate marking actually I'd rather write the paper than mark it. I work my guys quite hard, mine is a technical class so most of the work is practical but they have an assignment each week that should take them 6-9 hours outside classtime. My class is 1/6th of a full course load so I have a rep for having a good class but lots of work.

    It's gonna be tough.

I'm majoring in pre-veterinary Animal biology aiming for exotics.
It is tough. Good luck! Being in anything other than companion will give you a slight advantage too!

@_@ I know how you feel! I'm taking a full load at my regular college and doing a two-class/internship program to kickstart my RVT schooling. I go into the full program next year with two classes down and 300+ hours of experience towards my cert. ;] So it's all worth it!

Sometimes though.. after school and working at the vet all day I'm so pooped I don't want to do anything, but sit on my butt! lol

Horray for Vet careers. <3 I love how many people in the hobby go Vet. :> Did you guys in Pre-vet know that if you go into food animal initially you can get the maority (if not all) of your loans paid back? I think you have to promise to be food animal for at least 4 years? I'm not certain on the details, but if I decide to go past my RVT, it's the route I'm going! School is expensive! lol

It's great! There needs to be more herp lovers in the vet community. It's overloaded w/ companion animal vets. (not that it's a bad thing, but its tough when someone only has a dog/cat vet to go to when they have a snake)

I heard something about if you do food animal and have food animal experience, then you're almost guaranteed a vet school interview. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I think anything other than companion animal basically has a slight advantage because companion animal is so popular.

And I hear yah! After school + internships, I want to crash as well! :D

What school will you be attending? I originally wanted to do something in a similar field but can't seem to find any schools here in pa that offer ANY type of vet classes. I'm only 10 miles from the PA/MD line......I would hate to have to pay out of state tuition, but if I can get in for what I REALLY want to go for, I'd be willing to think long and hard about it :)
