Pretty sure Claire de Lune is not from twilight. DeBussy deserves some credit.

Thanks so much for the help, guys! I got some great leads that led to me maxing out my budget on new music. I'll be a happy camper for awhile, and have this source for new leads when I get tired of what I have. :D

I had another thought. Have you checked out the Fantasia soundtrack? It has some epic music along with being a Disney historical classic.

I thought about it...LOVE the movies...both of them. But I have most of those songs on other classical albums. Good stuff though. Night on Bald Mountain will forever hold a special place in my heart! :D

I meant the version from the twilight soundtrack, I promise I'm not that dense.

If you like strings Zoe Keating does some interesting cello work by recording herself and playing along to that, and adding more. Almost like a score but she does it all herself (I just love listening to cello anything as well as classical). You might also want to check out the scores for the Studio Ghibli films (Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Totoro, etc). They're all composed by Joe Hisaishi, could probably do an amazon search to find all his work. Very good composer and the music is very dramatic/moving. There are some vocals but also lots of straight instruments

Excellent sources to check into! Thanks! My kids love those movies, and I love cellos. :D

If anyone is wondering...yes, The Thomas Crown Affair does not fit into the criteria I laid out, but I do love that movie and the music filled in some moods that were missing from my more dramatic scores. Leave it to Wes to step outside the box. :P

They have tons of stuff though and on their website you can see all the movies they have done. If this stuff doesn't get your blood flowing idk what will :)

Edit: i hope nobody else mentioned them, i skimmed the posts and didn't see them but didn't read in depth.
