Sorry to hear about your eggs. Good luck with the others.

Sorry to hear about your loss

Make sure you candle the remaining eggs and look for movement. You also stated you cut a small hole then pulled the rest with tweezers I am not sure but maybe this caused some kind of disruption and killed the babies. Other than that sounds like you did good with everything else.

Re: Fluid in cut eggs is turning cloudy
They were perfect and white and smooth all through their incubation up to about three days ago when they started to collapse, which I thought was because they were going to hatch. There were no signs of humidity issues or anything. None of them have veins anymore. Is that normal for eggs when they get close to hatching, or is that a bad sign?

This really breaks my heart. This was my first clutch ever and I was really excited for these babies. I took photos, but it's not like they would illuminate anything that I haven't already said. I might upload pictures of the remaining eggs to see what you guys think about their chances.

My heart goes out to you, sorry you had such terrible luck on your first clutch. It can only get better from here though. At day 52 a normal should not still be pure white, they start to color before that. Some pics of the remaining eggs candled if you didn't cut them or some of them opened if you did, would help to determine if the remaining are viable. Best of luck in the future and with your remaining eggs.

I'm so sorry. :( Losing eggs is awful but it doesn't sound like you did anything wrong.

Definitely candle the remaining eggs and look for any movement and veins. The eggs should have veins all the way up to hatching and then it all gets absorbed before the baby leaves the egg.
