    Same with all the above. I have a giant Maine Coon and I've yet to have any problems. If you are really worried, make your girlfriend happy and vacuum more often.

    If it were, my snakes would all be dead by now! :D

    Seriously, I have 3 cats (including one Persian) and a dog in a 1br apartment... and so far it hasn't been a noticeable problem with the snakes. Just keep up with cleaning those water dishes, since that seems to be where the stray hairs land. Not that it would hurt them, considering they swallow rodent hair on a weekly basis - I just like them to have clean water. :P
