It's a natural part of their anatomy that helps them get their mouths around their prey. No worries. :)

Thats how i am with my balls, But with my boas, i find it easier to feed them the best sized prey, no idea why that is

Thanks for this subject. I had one of my BP's refuse a meal, so I put the rat in with another BP. Then I looked up his weight and realized the rat was more than 15% of his weight. I went to pull it out, but it was too late. He was already eating it. He seems ok, but hasn't eaten since. Nice to know he's probably ok.
