Avics are very touchy tarantulas to deal with. My Avicularia diversipes that I just got for my birthday on the 24th of September passed away like a week or two after I got it. The other 3 avics I got at that time are still going strong though. My Avicularia metallica I had passed away for unkown reasons also (just got a new female though thanks to a friend since I like them so much). The avics are just not very hardy species sadly :(

Yeah I learned the hard way. He fell off of me while I was cleaning his enclosure from about 4-5 feet and died about 15 minutes after the fall. It's the first pet that has died so I didn't take it very well. I'm hoping to get another versi next week.

Ohhhhhh, it died from a fall :( Sorry :( That's horrible when it is from something that was your own fault. I was at fault for killing a T I once had also (not from a fall though). I was very angry and upset that it was something I could have sort of prevented if you know what I mean. But i just used it as a learning experience (all you can do really) and I make for darn sure that the mistake I made never happens again.
