almost looks like scars to me like old healed burn marks but it is kinda hard to tell from the pics.
I was thinking the same thing

deffinately not scars I have some ugly pictures of scars from multiple bp rescues to show Im almost 100% sure this is a shatter pattern :)

I don't know. To me it looks like spots of increased melanin. It happens sometimes. It might go away in a few sheds, it might not. My husbands spider male went super dark on his sides when he hit 350 grams, so far he's still like that at 500.
I just don't see the belly markings like the shatters have. Maybe some more belly pictures ? And how about the chin spot ?

It does look very similar to a Shatter! You will need to breed it to see if it's genetic! Either way, it's a very interesting looking Ball!

They aren't burns but I am still not convinced that I have a shatter. My luck doesn't usually go that way.

She is a 2007 proven breeder I got her from a small breeder cleaning out his collection. She has been like this since I got her in august and she has shed once. Here is a closer picture.
Well no chin spot and a clear belly suggests it is not a shatter. Nonetheless, I can't wait to see babies from her. There is lots of really wierd cool stuff going on with this girl.

I have seen it before, in a pet BP I had several years ago when I was still mainly working with bloods. Over the course of several years he developed dark blotches on his sides just like that. They appeared gradually and were definitely not scars. I never bred him to prove it out and don't have him any more, unfortunately.
If you've got one, maybe try putting her to a calico, just for kicks ..?
