You can look into tubs too over tanks. Tank gets big, bulky, and take room after while, especially when dealing with more than a couple snakes. Good thread: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ubs-for-snakes

How many grams is your new girl? I have three females ranging from 2000-2200 grams and I have each of them in their own 34 qt tub. They feel really secure in there and there's even room for me to put in a hide as well.

You could also, with a good deal of sterilization, switch the male to the 20 gallon and the female to the 55.

BUT, if you attempt that each tank should be washed with a strong bleach solution, inside and out, rinsed well and allowed to air dry. Throw away old bedding and use fresh for each tank. Also sterilize any hides, water dishes and decor before switching between tanks. Otherwise, you defeat the purpose of quarantine.

Ok I cleaned the 20g inside & out. Switched the bedding. I put my small female 1' or so in the 20g. Then put the big female in the cleaned 30g. My male is in the 55g. All seems fine :)
