You may want to try scenting a rat with used mouse bedding. We got our Spider male from a shop that swore it was on rats. We spent 4 weeks trying to get it to eat rats with no luck. It would seem kinda interested till it smelled it and then wanted nothing to do with it. We prefer feeding rats but tried a mouse just to see what would happen. The spider took the mouse before we could blink. We fed mice for two weeks then today when I picked up my feeders I asked them to throw in a handful of mouse bedding to scent the rat. It worked like a charm!!! The spider finally took a rat! I hope this helps.
