Adding the Russo gene really cleans up the blue eyed leucy also. The Russo x Russo is called the White Diamond and is pure white with crystal blue eyes.
Can of worms coming...but isn't a butter x butter the same as a lesser x lesser pairing? I know it's dabatable that butters and lessers are or are not the same morph but was just curious...

Some think so. I'm on the fence about it because I've bred butters and lessers. My leucy (lesser x russo) produced lessers that were definitely very easy to tell apart from the butters that my female butter het ghost produced. They did look very different but I have seen "butters" advertised that looked like lessers and vice versa.

I'm personally a big fan of the super mojave. I don't think of it as a "dirty" head though, I think of it as a purple head, and I like purple. :D

actually I've never seen a pure white one in real life, they all had a yellow dorsal stripe. I've seen pictures online of white ones though. But as far as I can see, its not the way to go for pure white.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I'm going with mojo to lesser because I will be getting a little mojo boy in a trade in a few weeks and my lesser girl will be here in a month.

I wonder how much of that is just bloodline, though ... Think about how different a really GOOD, "pure-bred" lemon pastel jungle looks from a really GOOD blonde pastel. They're technically the same morph, but when selected for different traits can come out looking very different.
I wonder, if you bred the leucy male to the butter het ghost female, if you'd be able to tell the difference then ... (Not being snarky; I actually do wonder. If you could, that would suggest that they are different; if the babies looked like a blend of both parents that would strongly suggest, to me, that they were the same.)
I tend to think of them as the exact same thing based on the fact that, to me, their combos look fundamentally the same -- some variation due to bloodline and quality, but overall the same. Mojave combos, by comparison, look totally different ...
To the OP, I bred lesser x mojo this year and got some overall very clean white babies with the faintest hint of head pattern. They're all around 200 grams now and even that's starting to fade. None of them have bug-eyes ... However, one of the girls IS cross-eyed. So, I can no longer say that I think the lesser x mojo combo is "perfect" (though I do think the cross-eyes are more innocuous than the big bug-eyes).
Personally I like mojo x mojo the best of the blue eyes.

I only have a Super Mojave that is a Sulfur Super Mojave,
but I think the Mocha is a cool snake. Dan Sutherland had a couple at the recent Anahiem show, and I was happy to pick up a female. I am not sure how the Mocha works in with other Blue Eyed Complex snakes, but males are only $150 or so, and my female looks way nicer than I thought she would look.
